As I've been coveting Tord Boontje's recycled glassware for years, I really don't know why I didn't mention them in my earlier post on Tord Boontje, or for that matter on Miwa Koizumi's eerily similar jellyfish etc. Well, there's no time like the present.
Especially as I've just read about another lovely recycled tableware product: Crackery Tableware by Dutch-based designer Joana Meroz. I'd read tales of how the Japanese used to repair broken crockery with gold, making it even more precious; but Meroz has taken it to a new level by adding dainty flowers.
