New York's eco-Fashion Week

I've been dreaming for a while now about organizing an eco-tent for Fashion Week to showcase young sustainable designers. After all, Portland shouldn't get all the fun... Unfortunately for me, but fortunately for all of us, Barneys' Julie Gilhart has shown her (green) stripes yet again by helping FutureFashion recruit even more top-level designers for their latest show, featuring looks by luminaries Doo.Ri, Burberry, Marc Jacobs, Versace, YSL, and the eternally amazing Stella McCartney. Meanwhile, Behnaz Sarafpour (also an FF participant) kicked off her own show with a series of green looks that Style.com lauded as "surprisingly un-granola"; and Phillip Lim has launched an environmentally friendly line called Go Green Go -- sold, not surprisingly, at Barneys.
