The winter that wasn't
Here's a new twist to eco-design: The warming climate might just put an end to winter styles. Just as fur and down are having their renaissance (love those sculptural Marios Schwab and Moncler puffy jackets!), it seems the warmer weather is leading retailers to buy fewer winter coats. And after taking a beating, sales-wise, at the hands of New York's warmest October and November on record, some are even going so far as to hire meteorologists to help merchandise their lines appropriately.
