Anti-products: How to stop junk mail

Instructables.com has an adorable tutorial on returning junk mail to the credit card companies. (Thanks to Daniel for the link!) My friend Andy has another method: Tape the postage-paid return envelope to a brick, then drop the whole thing in the mail.

Ultimately, though, it's preferable not to receive credit card offers at all -- which is easily achieved by calling the national Opt Out line (888) 567-8688 or filling out the form at www.optoutprescreen.com. Now if only I could convince the newspaper not to put all those fliers in my Sunday paper...

I think the only way to stop it is to boycott all the advertisers in these crap circulars. But not shopping at the C-town (or whatever) is not an option for everyone.
