Out and about in New York

So for anyone who's wondering why I haven't posted lately, it's not just a case of late-summer laziness. Bizarrely enough, the fashion cycle requires designers to produce one collection at the same time they're designing the next one — leaving me no time to stop and think, let along write anything coherent. The good news is, fall is ready! Mostly! And most of the pieces are now in-store at Factoriem and EVA, if you'd like to go check them out in person; and they'll be in at Kaight next week.

Meanwhile, I'll be forced out of my hidey-hole, aka my new design studio in Williamsburg, soon for Fashion's Night Out. The lovely new Textile Arts Center in Gowanus is hosting a slow-fashion-themed event, replete with fun workshops and a panel discussion that will feature yours truly among other designers and slow-fashion thinkers. And what would Fashion's Night Out be without shopping? More details to come on that front...
